If you're interested in history, be sure to visit the Knighton Museum, which showcases the rich heritage of the local area. You can also explore the ruins of the nearby Castell y Blaidd, a mediaeval castle that dates back to the 12th century. For a glimpse into the area's industrial past, head to the Judge's Lodging Museum, which tells the story of the Victorian justice system.

For foodies, Knighton offers a range of dining options, from traditional Welsh pubs to fine dining restaurants. Be sure to try some of the local specialties, such as Welsh rarebit or bara brith, a traditional fruit loaf. The Horse and Jockey Inn is a popular spot for a pint and a hearty meal, while The Castle Inn offers a more upscale dining experience.

If you're looking for a unique shopping experience, be sure to visit the Knighton Market, which takes place every Saturday in the town centre. Here, you'll find a range of local produce, crafts, and gifts, as well as a friendly community atmosphere.

Knighton is a "Walkers are Welcome" town, with a choice of excellent walks available. There are a variety of short, middle, and long-distance paths in the area, including the Kerry Ridgeway and the Herefordshire Trail. The Jack Mytton Way in neighbouring Shropshire is a long-distance bridleway for use by those on foot, bicycle, or horseback. Cyclists can enjoy the Radnor Ring Cycle Route, an 84-mile route that circles back to Knighton.

At the Knighton Tourist Information Centre, you can pick up maps and brochures to help you plan your itinerary. The staff are always on hand to offer recommendations and advice, and can help you book tours and activities.

If you're interested in exploring the local area, be sure to check out the Heart of Wales railway line, which runs from Shrewsbury to Swansea and offers stunning views of the Welsh countryside. You can also take a scenic drive along the Elan Valley, which is home to a series of reservoirs and dams that provide water to the nearby cities.

For a unique cultural experience, be sure to visit the Spaceguard Centre, an observatory and space science education centre located just outside of Knighton. Learn about the latest developments in space science and astronomy, and even take a tour of the observatory.
